we go together

if peg bundy and sandy from grease had a baby, this is what she would look like:
scarf- gift
button up- thrifted
pants- tjmaxx
shoes- target

but i've never been a big sandy fan(or peg bundy fan for that matter) because she totally gives up her identity for danny zuko at the end of the movie. love is a two-way street! turn up the tramp and snag the guy with low to zero job prospects? way to go sandy! a paragon of womanhood!
but the tunes are pretty catchy. and i would love to be a beauty school dropout. with pink hair. and a satin jacket. and it's almost comical to compare who had the smaller waist, jon travolta or olivia newton john?

Haha, I love your posts! You are so funny!
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who rants about Sandy getting the guy AFTER becoming a slut. Great lesson to teach teenagers, Grease.

hee hee I love this outfit! It totally IS a Peggy/Sandy hybrid. But I think you are way cuter than Peggy, and way cooler than Sandy.

Lame plot to be sure, but you can't beat the music from Grease. The best.

I knew a theatre teacher who refused to let us do "Grease" because she said it gave young women the wrong message. I was too young to understand at the time, but she was right :)
Love the wedges btw.

You are so right it IS annoying! I've been saying that for years - just not as funny as you did. :)

Sigh. Anyhoo. If anything you're Peg's cuter, funkier, and classier little sister.

I've always thought that about Grease but been to afraid to say it. Why are we celebrating that this girl totally changed herself for a guy?!

You m'dear look great though. Love the big hair.

p.s. talk to your husb and see if you guys want to move to live close to me. kay? i'm sure the details (like job, schools for the kids, house, etc.) will work themselves out. i'll even bring you a casserole...after i learn how to make one...

Kay, great big AMEN to that whole Sandy issue. Seriously, my mom always moaned at the end when "bad" Sandy came out and said, "Now girls, this is a 'what not to do' when it comes to guys. No man is worth losing your values over." I hated it at the time; b/c hello I love the ending song but it seriously stuck with me. I never compromised and am thankful for it :)
