I played bunco for the first time a week or so ago with a bunch of women in my ward. It was fun. I don't at all consider it gambling, depending on how you play it, the way we played, we all brought an under $10 gift, and the whole night, you keep up with your score, and whoever wins gets first dibs on the prizes. Everyone leaves with a prize, and it's easy to catch onto, not much thinking. A good way to socialize. I had fun. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go again because they play on the same night we're scheduled to work at the temple. Overall, I'm for it.

I've never played, but I had a bad taste put in my mouth by a bunch of girls (all members) who get together once a month and play. It's mostly the girls I have a problem with (pretty immature, lots of pictures on their blogs of them sans garments since they all dress immodestly and yet are all endowed), not the game. But in my mind, they tainted it for me, so I have no interest in playing. Unfair? Yes. Immature on my part? Sure. Even recognizing that, do I still want to play the game? Nope. Call me stubborn...

I have never played, there are some girls in the ward that play. Somehow, I am not sure where it came from, but I feel like playing it has been discouraged, so I have sort of made a point of not playing? I imagine it is one those up to you things, but you could read the gambling talks and see if anything relates. I do drink tons of caffeine though. You are supposed to wear your garments all the time?

I know a lot of people that play and love it (none are members) but I don't know anything about it. Sorry-that is no help!
