my sister is getting married in march. but since this blog is about me, i need a dress for said wedding. her colors are black and white and her dress is long and body conscious. and i am all for that. so i want a long dress in black to mimic her look. but i need some input. dear reader, what do you think? in a comment say exactly what you think. and perhaps i'll even consider your opinions in my final decision.

i think you need something that hugs your body more. you need to show it off girl!
can you post a pic of what heaters dress looks like so i can see how you were trying to mimic it?
now that i've seen the wedding dress. yes you need something that hugs your body more at least through the waist/hips. i love how it drapes at the bottom. waht are some more options?
I love the Cleopatra one (duh) except for the droopy armpits. I have a thing about armpits. I don't like seeing them.
Anywho- how exciting!
I would be worried about white showing with Cleopatra, and I would definitely need a cami to cover cleavage with deep V. I really like the "Antiquated" one on Shabby Apple, though it isn't full length.
just fyi, modestbydesign.com has a lot of cute dresses, if you decide to look further.
My word verification is "anthips"; I think that's funny.
here, here to the more form fitting dress!! But honestly, you would look fantabulous in either one!
i like the deep v. i feel like your look should complement heather's and not necessarily mimic it. ya know?
CLEOPATRA! Love it - want to eat it! Seriously it is sexy without being form fitting and I LOVE that. Hair up and chandelier earings with great shoes - the other one is great but a little too angular (is that a word?)
Keep us posted....
I like Cleopatra. I think the draping of the neckline/sleeveline is elegant enough for a wedding. And yes, definitely an up-do w/dangly earrings. The dress is so much that you don't want all those gorgeous locks competing for attention. And I like I told you earlier, not everyone could rock the Cleopatra. I think you have the right size and shape to look elegant in it. A chubbier gal, like myself, would look like I were wearing a potato sack, but on you, it will drape nicely.
I love both, but can't decide. So, you must get them both, try them on, take pictures, and then post the new pics so we can get a true visual.
Cleopatra!
Cleopatra. I like how the middle part that is tight will allow for extra poof on the top part. That way you can make it hang on you how you want (and you can wear a tanktop/cami to cover white without the tanktop/cami being seen underneath because it's loose). Also I like that the stretchy tight middle part is longer than the other dress. I think that's more flattering. But what the heck do I know?
I like the Cleopatra. I feel it is dressier than deep v and with your body shape, it will look fab.
